Annabella Berry is a painter from a rural area outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is currently in her junior year at Syracuse University, and is studying Studio Arts with a focus on oil painting. Annabella began formal training in painting at a local studio in Charlotte when she was 16, focusing on traditional subject matter and experimentation with the quality of oil paint. She employs these techniques within an intuitive approach, experimenting with ways to represent the figure in an abstracted landscape, energetic mark-making, and surface-building.
